Rouleau calligraphié, 2013.

Réalisé lors d'une résidence à l'Inside Out Art Museum of Beijing.

"Focusing her works on drawing and writing performances, Eva Evrard acquired her inspiration from passerby’s various “movements” and “behaviors”, and then she wrote down the actions in French verbs. By using sign “+” between each French verb as mark and division, she recorded all the intermittent “verbs” on a long roll of white paper. By these continuous records of human “behaviors”, Eva hoped to display the continuation of time and life. When the entire roll of paper was combined in round shape, the work appeared like a clock, further echoing the theme of time and life."
